Tightening of the upper arm - Plexie

Overweight, quick loss of weight, and weekness of conjunctive tissue may be the reasons why a beauty-operation may be considered in which the upper arm is tightened.

The treatment methods:

1. method:
   The amount to be tightened is marked by drawing on the arm, the surplus fat and skin is cut out wedge- or oval-shaped.
   
   
2. method:
   In case of vertical and horizontal tightening a T-shaped cut is made.
   
   
3. method:
   The "hockey stick" cut runs from the armpit to the backside of the upper arm.

preliminary and follow-up treatment:
After two to three weeks the sutures will be removed. A surgical hose for arms should be worn for at least 6 weeks.

Possible risks:
Asymmetries, light pains and swellings, scars (depending on treatment method):

1. method: a long, fine scar on the upper arm.
2. method: increased risk for the healing process of the wound.
3. method: Scar is only partially visible.

Note:
During the healing process everything should be avoided that causes tension for the sutures. No sport must be done during this time.
